Introduction

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China's sixth batch of national "Thousand Talents Program" candidates, graduated from Sichuan University, He obtained PhD in University of Derby, UK in 1988 and the D.Sc in University of Huddersfield, UK in 2007.Now he is the chief professor of Newcastle University, Britain. He is an internationally renowned scholar in sensing technology, detection technology, signal processing technology and automation technology.

In the field of electromagnetic sensing, he is mainly engaged in research on new sensors, new non-destructive testing methods based on pulsed electromagnetic mechanism, health monitoring and life estimation of important structures, intelligent networking and miniaturization of sensors, and has been widely recognized. Professor Tian Guiyun has won more than 10 projects funded by the British Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Royal Society of England, and the Royal Society of Engineers,and International companies and research institutes cooperate ,such as Airbus, Rolls-Royce, Kohlers Group, Fuji Xerox and Welding Institute UK,to carry out scientific research work, and the research funds are more than 2 million pounds, and the Royal Society Sino-British Exchange Fund of about 100,000 pounds is also presided over.

Professor Tian is currently the editor-in-chief and editorial board member of several journals, and is a senior member of IEE, BINDT and IEEE. Its latest research results have been published in the top academic journals in the field of non-destructive testing and many international famous conferences, and more than 150 academic papers have been published, of which 55 have been retrieved by SCI, and 38 papers have been cited by SCI for 327 times; two The results were selected into the "World Encyclopedia of Sensors"; a number of research results funded by EPSRC were rated as excellent by EPSRC; two academic papers won the annual excellent paper awards of Insight Journal and IEE, and won the John Grimwade Medal of the British Society for Nondestructive Testing, and the title of "Outstanding Young Teacher" by the British Ministry of Education.
